Welcome to my practice! My name is Dr. Julianne Guida and I provide individual therapy to teens, adults, and older adults both virtually and in person in Marin, California. I use an integrative approach, including Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic Therapy, with a focus on attachment and trauma. I specialize in relational and depth therapy, aiming to create transformational change for lasting healing. My approach is collaborative and tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment to explore challenging experiences and emotions, and to develop skills for coping and resilience. I seek to not only reduce unwanted symptoms, but to address the underlying mechanisms sustaining suffering.

I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California with a focus in Psychoanalytic Theory. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Providence Family Medicine Center in Anchorage, Alaska and my post-doctoral training at Thought Partners in Kentfield, CA. I have additional training in relational and trauma-focused therapies.

Other professional endeavors include supervising students in their first and second year of clinical training as an adjunct faculty member of The Wright Institute. I also work on Internship Support Team advising and supporting advanced students through the rigorous internship application process.
